In this episode, Bill explains what the Pet Grooming Business Audit is – and how it’s helping groomers across the UK get clearer on their goals, grow their business, and feel more in control.

Bill breaks down what happens during the audit, which starts with a short form you fill in beforehand. This gives Bill the chance to review your website, social media, prices, and other key details before the session – so the actual audit call can go straight into the areas where you need the most help.

During the 1-to-1 session, you’ll look at:

Your goals

– How much do you want to earn? How many days do you want to work?

Your prices and services

– Are they working for you or against you?

Your marketing

– Is your online presence actually helping you attract clients?

Client booking systems and daily routines

– Could things be more efficient?

It’s not about pointing out what’s wrong; it’s about helping you see new opportunities, make things simpler, and build a grooming business that actually works for you.

You’ll leave with a

clear action plan

, a

recording of the session

Welcome to the Pet Grooming Business Podcast with me, Bill Betts where we give practical business advice to help you grow your pet grooming business. This podcast is sponsored by Low Pay, the low rate payment app that gives you more. So without further ado, let's get going.

Well, well, well. Welcome back to this next pod podcast. It's just me again today, just want to come in and talk to you all about the pet groomer business audit. So I get many questions from pet groomers and I see a lot of questions within the Facebook groups, my group, dog grooming business help and support included. And quite often I think that you know, people are generally struggling with business and I obviously have the pet grooming business program but that doesn't suit everyone and not everyone wants to commit to having a full blown coaching and mentorship program.

So I wanted to offer something a little bit different and so I came up with the Pet Groomer business audit. Now the audit call will help, will give you some one to one time with myself and we sit down and we literally top to bottom review of your business. So when you sign up for the audit call you will get a form to fill in which is serves two purpose really. One, it gives me more information about your business so I can go away and do some research before our one to one I can go and have a look at your social media, your, your marketing presence and, and see how you're operating your business.

But then the other thing is to actually start you thinking about your business, making you start to think about the, the ins and outs of your, of your business. So when you book your audit call you'll get a little form to fill in, get that sorted and then you can come and book your one to one with me. And like I said we, we literally sit down and we kind of not I'll be a bit kinder, we'll pull your business apart. It's not as bad as you might think it is but we actually look at the structure of your business.

So how do you operate? Are you a sole trader, limited company. Are you aware of your responsibilities as a business owner? How take payments, how do you structure your day? What systems are you using? You know what's missing within your business is insurance, correct? You know, health and safety in place, all sorts of stuff like that. And, and sometimes that sounds quite like well yeah, of course I got insurance or yeah of course I'll do this. But quite often we, we highlight things that are missing and I get the opportunity from my experience of working with pet groomers Just to point out little areas where there may be some, some things missing or needs to be tightened or need to be working on.

So we look at your, your business structure and we also sort of start to examine your overall goals like what do you want from your business and what do you want, you know, what you, what do you want your business to, to do for you? So we look at some overarching goals, how much you want to earn and how we then we start to put some strategies in place to help you get that. So looking at the structure of your business first of all, and then we start looking at your, your pricing and obviously the million dollar question is how much do you want to earn from your business and why aren't you actually earning that?

So we start to look at the pricing, how many dogs a day that you're looking to do, how many hours a day that you're looking to do. And that kind of falls into the structure as well. And I often ask people like what days are you working, how many hours a week are you working and are you happy about that? And we can help groomers start to look at a different way to structure their, to structure their business and structure their hours. But obviously pricing is really important with that because we need to be earning the money that we need to earn.

So we start giving you some strategies around your pricing and seeing what needs doing with that. Now obviously the next sort of worry that groomers have is around getting clients. So we have a really deep dive into the marketing and marketing assets, looking at what assets are out there, how they're marketing their business and how that could be improved. Obviously the, the big four social media, Facebook, Instagram, Google, my business and website. And we have a discussion around how to market the business better and where things could be improved with what's already out there.

And then we have a look at what additional services that groomers are offering and how are they marketing them, how are they talking to their customers about them and making sure that the additional services fit with their values and making sure that there's no additional services being missed or maybe just talking through some of the additional services that are available. But the particular groomers may be not feeling comfortable about offering them or has some ideas but not quite sure how to implement them and market them. So you come away from the audit with a comprehensive plan, a summary of what we've discussed on the one to one action steps to take forward.

So how to start to improve the business. And you also get a copy of the video call so that can be re watched at their own pace just in case there's bits that are missed or can't remember and just want to go back over it. I'm sure there's times where you could probably just sit down with a video call and look at one section at a time structure. What did we discuss? What do I need to go implement? This podcast is sponsored by Low Pay. Low Pay is half the price of Sumup and Zettle.

So you keep more of the money that you earn. Rates start at 0.79%. So that's the, that's what the Pet Groomer Business Audit is all about. I love these little sessions that I have with groomers sitting down and really sort of picking part the business and making sure that they go away with lots of ideas. Maybe reigniting the enthusiasm for the business and the love for the business. And what I want to do is it's only just come out and I want to give you my awesome listeners a little bit of a discount code.

So if you go onto the landing page and you book a a pet groom and business audit and if you use the code PODCAST30, you'll actually get a 30 discount on the audit. So. So yeah, make the most of this. You know, it's a chance to sit down. It' about an hour, hour and a half, sometimes two. You know we do sometimes chat too much but make the most of getting some real clarity around your business. Fleshing out why you why your business isn't working for you if you feel like that and fleshing out some new ideas.

Have a new perspective and have some more like leave with like more enthusiasm for your business and a clearer understanding of where you want to go with it. So just a quick episode for me just to introduce the Pet Groomer Business Audit.
